A King Most Presentation:
Miss Jack Davey returns to SOM. for another rare dj set. Her talent behind the turntables easily earned her a return visit back.
One-half of Los Angeles duo, J Davey, her impressive body of work is as avante-garde and sultry as it is unclassifiable; bending the sometimes narrow boundries of soul, electronic music, & new wave. Naturally, you would want to see what an artist with such diversity and range would play in a club setting.
Supporting her is fresh coaster and Honor Roll capo, Trackademicks. After years of releasing remixes and mixtapes of celebrated material, he’s now performing with a live band in support of his debut album “STATE OF THE ARTS” (out now..buy it).
Presenting the evening and deejaying throughout the night is King Most, who for the past few years has been earning a reputation as not only as deejay and a producer who can musically navigate in almost any circle, but also for helping make San Francisco a bit more interesting by bringing such emerging acts such as Dam Funk, Los Rakas, & Electric Wire Hustle to S.F. , as well as Soul Slam & Wonder-Full to life, in addition to sharing the stage with artists like Madlib, De La Soul, Jazzy Jeff, and more.
